First Ring Daily 621: Fifty Percent Audio – Paul Talks to Himself

Is the audio broken, yes, I know, hopefully fixed tomorrow.

Because of an update to Windows, the audio stack was broken on this episode, enjoy 20 minutes of Paul talking to himself.

Just so perfect that the video cuts to Brad repeatedly gesturing to the SOMETHING WENT WRONG message behind him, lips flapping in perfect silence while Paul shoots comments in response to what some may conclude is his perfect lip reading skill…

Thanks for the smile guys!

This is hilarious! Tomorrow you should have Paul in "mime mode" and Brad with full audio!

No complaints from this end!

This needs to be in the Hall of Fame like the one where Brad video was flipped on its side.

And, of course, unlike most days Brad does most of the talking with no audio. Thanks Microsoft!

I thought it would be a good idea to try closed captioning, but that only worked for Paula and I learned that that is done off sound and I should have just got a lip reader to decifer it.

That was awesome. If there were something like Emmys for podcast, this episode is the one. Technical glitch or performance art.

Someone needs to remix in dialog for Brad. I wonder what Brad said when Paul responded that he really approved of HP moving to use more natural materials…

This rivals but does not beat the Windows Weekly episode when Mary Jo's skype video was upside down. That was a classic.

This is encouraging to us in the loop. Because it lets us know that us normal users aren't the only ones that have problems that they can't fix. I like your program especially for your honesty and openness to show us your more fragile side. Keep up the good work.

Reminds me of the comic Garfield Minus Garfield, where Garfield is removed and it's just Jon talking to himself.

<a href="https://garfieldminusgarfield.net/" target="_blank">https://garfieldminusgarfield.net/</p>
