Yeah, I've tried to hit the ground running by starting a raw UWP app from scratch, and I find it confusing to say the least. I'm not sure if I'll ever grow tired of the ease of the old fashioned draw-a-form-put-a-button-on-it-attach-a-handler type of Windows GUI programming. The only UWP apps I have out in the wild are some games in the Microsoft Store that were originally written in a third-party game engine, but compiled to UWP for distribution. The hard stuff was done for me.

On Prime Cinema – some movies like Sonic, were $20 to buy and watch as opposed to a $20 rental.
