"Paul, what time is it in France right now?"

There have been 1008 episodes of this podcast, and that was the best moment, except for maybe episode 1000.

In my defense, I usually think about this time difference from the perspective of being IN Europe as I seldom care what time it is there when I’m home. But … yeah, we all come up blank from time to time.

Somebody from Peanuts said (and I don't remember who), "I'm not afraid of the world ending today, because it's already tomorrow in some other part of the world."

FYI, the time in Paris France is seven (7) hours later than Eastern time in the U.S. so when it is 12:00 noon eastern time, it is 7:00 pm in Paris France. For example, when it is 12:00 PM in Seattle Washington, it is 3:00 PM in the Eastern timezone (U.S.), and 10:00 PM in Paris France.

In reply to ernie:

a quick google search will show you that Paris is in GMT +1, while Eastern time in the US is GMT -5, which is a 6 hour time difference.

Also, Paul has been to Europe once or twice. Today's mixup notwithstanding, he probably has a pretty good idea of what time it is in France.

In reply to wunderbar:

The switch from summer time to winter time is also different in the US and Europe, so at times it is 6, other times 7, but currently it is 6.
