Microsoft used to have a living room strategy. In 2013 the Xbox One was launched as a TV box with Microsoft content coming soon.

Today’s content providers are Netflix, Amazon, Google etc. Not Microsoft. A "stick" should have happened in 2013 for Microsoft content and music. It all seems very late in the day.

This stick will be primarily for xCloud gaming on TVs that either aren’t "smart" or can’t have the xCloud app added. I doubt if it will support Microsoft music or video.
