Only reason I need Edge on the XBox is because F1TV doesn’t have an XBox app and their genuinely awful Android app doesn’t let me cast to the TV. It’s either watch on the phone ("Ewww… David!") or browse to their website and stream from there.

I think you’re really underselling the benefit of having modern Chromium Edge on Xbox…especially on Xbox One. Considering mouse/keyboard and webcam/mic support, and it means that anyone effectively can turn an 8-year-old gaming console into a decent cloud-first PC experience. I just tested it out, and I can join a Zoom call from my living room couch using the web UI, edit Office docs on OneDrive, browse my Google Photos, and use Facebook. Not too shabby.
