      <p>I grew up on the 99/4A. My dad had a couple programs published in magazines back in the day. I was pretty young, but it’s what lead me to love computers. He still has a few of them, plus an expansion box and the speech synthesizer around as well. </p>

    <p>When I started a little computer school in Miami Beach in the mid-90s, it initially ran on OS/2 Warp.</p><p><br></p><p>And I’ve been wondering what happened to all those inventive shells for Windows from back then. Why haven’t people been writing them (as much) anymore?</p>
