Love the mention of the TI-99/4A. Got two upstairs.

I grew up on the 99/4A. My dad had a couple programs published in magazines back in the day. I was pretty young, but it's what lead me to love computers. He still has a few of them, plus an expansion box and the speech synthesizer around as well.

When I started a little computer school in Miami Beach in the mid-90s, it initially ran on OS/2 Warp.

And I've been wondering what happened to all those inventive shells for Windows from back then. Why haven't people been writing them (as much) anymore?
