    <p>I always thought the Windows CE meant Windows – Compact Edition – intended to be used on small devices (in today’s parlance, we’d call them IOT devices).</p>

      <p>CE didn’t really target IoT-like devices. It was for mobile devices on which Windows wouldn’t run well.</p>

    <p>I went from Dreamcast to Xbox. Funny, I always thought if Microsft had enabled Office on the Xbox One, they’d have a hit in the small office arena with inexpensive machines being able to author and save documents to the cloud. There is so much right and wrong with that idea.</p>
