Sound settings, (ex)Browser Settings !! Everything Windows 11 is made more difficult. Do MSFT really want people to use its stuff?

Paul the solution I use (I had not attempted to tell windows not to sound alerts.) is to go to the System->Sound->Volume Mixer->System sounds and mute it. This does not stop popups but it does remove the sound which I find annoying. It is a solution that works for me.
