Call me Debbie Downer BUT … Reference to the electrical solution stated in the podcast (as a certified NFPA Fire Inspector) I feel it necessary to clarify that you should never daisy chain extensions, power strips or tri/quad plugs. For example a multi plug device into another multi plug device. Extension cords are and were never meant to be permanent electrical solutions as tested by Underwriters Lab (UL). Any use over 90 days means you should be installing outlets for a long term solution.

I have seen a crazy number of cubicles where the little electrical heater, small coffee maker, PC, chargers etc were all plugged into multiple power strips or the tri-plug devices all daisy chained together going into one outlet. Eventually these 'may/will' fail.

I dont have microwaves or space heaters running…mostly powering LED light panels, and other low-draw hardware.
