The Sams Report EP 66: All The Tech That Makes It Possible

The Sams Report Hero 16x9

The Sams Report is a weekly podcast that dives deep into the world of Microsoft. With the company transforming the way it operates and Nadella putting his own touch on all aspects of the organization, the Sams Report breaks down the news and offers insight from insider sources.

On this episode, since it is a holiday week, I am sharing all the technology that I use on a daily basis to work and of course, there is a little bit of Microsoft news to cover as well.

x86 can be fully implemented, in software, on the ARM processor but what if Microsoft (or Qualcomm) added hardware instructions to the ARM processor that helped to optimize the x86 instruction execution? That would make the emulated software run much faster. I would think this is the direction Microsoft will take (Qualcomm has modified their hardware for Microsoft before).
