I have never, ever been able to recover one of my Surface devices over the cloud. Never. When the only thing my SP can do is get to the UEFI, there has never been a successful way to reinstall. I have ALWAYS been forced to throw a version on a stick and install from there.

We're in the same boat as Andrew. Our TVs were brand new and we just couldn't justify getting 4K units. We have the original Xbox One, which doesn't support 4K, and we are happy Dish customers and, until VERY recently, had a sat rig incapable of supporting 4K. It still may be a year before we feel justified in giving away our still-perfectly-good HD TV to get a 4K.

AirPlay isn't a thing for us. We hate Apple, and will never use anything they have. If we listen to music on our media center, it's either going to be SiriusXM or we'll stream our OneDrive library. There's never been a case where we'd want to push something from our phones or tablets to the media center. This just makes no sense to us.

I only paid $429 for a 49" TCL last year (49S517.) Works great and has a fast refresh rate for gaming. Supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Works with Xbox One X in HDR10 mode only though due to a quirk with how Microsoft implemented Dolby Vision. AppleTV 4K works in both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It's a great "affordable" TV option for a kid or cheapskate like myself. The TV has Roku built in which performs better than any "Smart" TV system I've used in the past.

Event Horizon … one of those movies that had potential, not much more than that IMO.
