Couple of comments: Re work from home. As a tech manager years ago, I had a lead developer who occasionally worked from home. When we had some critical things that needed to be completed, I would say "why not work from home tomorrow. That way you won't be interrupted by me constantly checking up on you and other distractions." As a manager I felt that if I couldn't trust you to work at home, I couldn't trust you period.

Re: Microsoft. Before Windows and Office, we had a variety of IBM PC and other PCs (Apple, Commodore, Tandy) and their incompatible spreadsheets and word processors in use. As a member of a large company, once we standardized on Microsoft products, we shared a common set of management tools. So we did not see how it all came together. What we saw was everyone finally in sync.

Re: how seamless your videos from home appear. I watched the Today show this morning with half the staff reporting from home. It's strange to me how such a big operation can't pull off what you all do every week (possibly from studios in your basements?) You could teach them some tricks. I really enjoy how seamlessly you flow from one studio to the other.
