Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Write, don’t type

Studies show that you retain more when you write. So stop typing. Or something. Or, try this.

App pick of the week: Microsoft Edge for Android/iOS

Yes, I’ve picked it before, but it’s getting much better, very quickly. And it’s out of preview now too.

Enterprise pick of the week: Azure-based location services

Public preview (developed with TomTom) is now available

Codename pick of the week: Project Rome

Good time to revisit this codename, given that Timeline is very much rooted in the Rome API.

Beer pick of the week: Goose Island Bourbon County Stout 2017

It’s that time of the year: The newest release of bourbon county is out. And the 2017 BCBS release is super tasty!

An insider is a tester, it’s not a person that gets features sooner todo whatever. The “whatever” it’s just a side effect of testing, example a review or a blog entry of things to come.

This is just to say that I don’t see anything wrong MS doing AB testing with insiders in a way they see fit.

For me they can test it however they want, call it whatever they want, as long as it works.

What an Insider gets its a chance to play with things yet to come and things that might even not come, that is all. They have not promised anything else but that.
