Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Work towards curing your smart phone addiction
I’ve not written formally on this topic yet, but if you’re looking to spend less time staring into a bright and tiny screen and more time interacting with humans, I have a few ideas.

App pick of the week: Twitter Lite/Twitter for Windows 10
Twitter’s PWA picks up some great new features.

Enterprise pick of the week: SharePoint Server 2019
Microsoft’s next on-premises version of SharePoint Server will be available in public preview in June and out this fall. MS is starting to peel back the covers on some of its features.

Codename pick of the week: Andromeda and Polaris
A little codename refresher, given that The Walking Cat and others noticed these codenames are featured prominently in the latest Win 10 SDK. Andromeda is a codename for both hw and sw for the coming MS Andromeda dual-screen device. Polaris is the codename for the composable shell for Windows desktops.

Beer pick of the week: Almanac Rose Sour
San Francisco-based Almanac calls this a beer-wine hybrid: Almanac Rose Sour “SOUR FARMHOUSE ALE AGED IN WINE BARRELS WITH MERLOT GRAPES, ROSE HIPS & ROSE PETALS!” Sounds like spring/summer to me, even though it’s 8.7%. And a good starter sour beer for wine drinkers.
