Tip of the week: Skip Office 2019 and head “to the cloud”!
You want Office 365 instead. It’s a no-brainer.
Comparison: Office Home & Student 2019 is $150. Home & Business is $250.
App pick of the week: Password Checkup for Chrome
Google’s new extension will help keep your accounts safe online
Plus: Microsoft Authenticator picks up security notifications
Enterprise pick of the week: Microsoft Managed Desktop
Remember the Microsoft Managed Desktop? We last heard about it at Ignite. Since then, radio silence. But things have been happening… let’s turn to the updated MMD documentation.
Enterprise pick of the week No. 2: Quick Assist
This isn’t a brand-new feature of Windows 10, but it’s one that deserves more attention that it often gets. If you want to provide remote support for your customers (or parents!), there’s a nice, simple Quick Assist tutorial on Petri.com this week that takes you through the steps.
Beer pick of the week: Westvleteren 12
Once considered “the best beer in the world,” Westvleteren 12 is a Belgian quad from Brouwerij De Sint-Sixtusabdij van Westvleteren. Tasty dark fruits, brown sugar, smooth and deadly at 10.2% (because it’s so easy to drink). It was a great beer to help me endure the SuperBowl.
