Picks and tips

App pick of the week: New PowerToys for Windows 10!

Microsoft is bringing back the PowerToysRemember the PowerToys?

App pick #2: Groupy 1.2

Groupy 1.2 for Windows is all the Sets you need

Enterprise pick of the week: Build 2019 Book of News

You want to see all the announcements from Build in a handy 60-plug-page document? Here it is.  You don’t need to have gone to Build to check this out. This is the same document we in the press used to get our NDA stories ready ahead of the start of the show.

Many (most?) of the sessions are available to anyone for online viewing, too.

Codename pick of the week: Tardigrade

It’s more than just a microscopic sea bear. It’s also a MS initiative to make its Azure servers more fault-tolerant

Beer pick of the week: Machine House Brewery Stinging Nettle Ale

Machine House is a brewery in the Georgetown area of Seattle. They make a lot of milder, lower ABV “English style” ales. Their beers are on tap around Seattle. And one of their really interesting seasonals is Stinging Nettle Ale. Very herbaceous and earthy. (Note: Hops are a distant relative of nettles. )
