Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Help Mary Jo get the Notepad she deserves

I’m wrapping up my Notepad clone project soon and am looking for a few ideas about features to add that expand on what Notepad can do but don’t make it a completely different app.

App pick of the week: Firefox 71

Firefox 71 adds PIP support for videos on Windows only, Linux and Mac soon.

Enterprise pick of the week: Azure Dedicated Hosts

Now generally available

Codename pick of the week: Verona

Microsoft’s Project Verona involves creating a new language for “safe infrastructure programming” to be open-sourced soon.

Beer pick of the week: Lagunitas Sonoma Farmhouse Brett Stout

Sonoma Farmhouse Brett Stout: An Imperial stout aged in Sonoma County Red Wine barrels: A dark sour beer that’s available in the Lagunitas taproom that I can’t wait to try. Probably a derivative of this.

Within some corporate networks, Extensions are disabled, so Collections built in is helpful. Also, Collections can be disabled, though it requires disabling a flag in edge://flags.
