Tips and picks

Tip of the week: Meet for free with Meet Now

Meet Now is available on the web and in the latest version of Windows 10, on the taskbar. Here’s how you can turn it off.

App pick of the week: Vivaldi

The Vivaldi web browser now has integrated Mail, Calendar, and Feed Reader components. It’s like Netscape Communicator all over again!

Enterprise pick of the week: Salesforce and Slack sitting in a (Microsoft-hating) tree?

There’s a rumor – which may or may not just be talk to jack up the value of Slack – that Salesforce could buy the collaboration vendor Slack. What will this mean for Teams and Microsoft if it comes to pass? Maybe not all that much…

Codename pick of the week: Utopia

The secret history of Microsoft Bob (codenamed Utopia). A fun YouTube video with developer Dave Plummer that includes lots of blasts from the past. Comic Sans invented for Bob? Marketing Manager of Bob was Melinda French (aka Bill Gates’ wife) and more.

Beer Cocktail pick of the week: Thanksgiving Cranberry Cider Sipper

The perfect drink for the season.

4 parts dark rum
2 parts apple cider
2 parts cranberry juice
1 part lemon juice

Shake all ingredients together over ice. Serve over ice and garnish with frozen cranberries.

Thank You! Much better episode this week, both content and Mikah. Again, nothing personal, but Leo is just not suited to this subject. I love watching his shows but not when he goes "off on one" re the "i" universe while hosting WW.

Happy Thanksgiving to all .
