Tips and picks

Tip of the week: How to manage documents

We all have our own way of doing things. Here’s mine. (And here’s Mary Jo’s)

App pick of the week: News feeds

We don’t need a news reader in Windows. We need a news reader where we read news. On the web and on mobile. I use The Old Reader (web) and Google News.

Developer pick of the week: Learn web dev on GitHub

Microsoft created 24 lessons on Web Development. It covers HTML, CSS and JavaScript. There are also quizzed and challenges. This is a series for beginners.

Enterprise pick of the week: Azure AD is going to four nines

As of April, MS says, Azure Active Directory will get a 99.99% uptime guarantee in SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Beer pick of the week: Threes Volition

Black lagers seem to be having their moment. Threes Brewing in Brooklyn is making a couple of them now, including one called Volition. Lager yeast, with dark bready malt flavor. Only 4.3% — “dark but crushable.”

<p>Paul, it looks like you have a film of vaseline on your camera lens. </p>

I’m sure that’s what it is.

<p>I've got that update, but I don't see that feature at all. I'd turn it off anyway, but I don't see it.</p>

<p> Sadly, for the most part, Panos' design choices are just horrible to me.</p>
