Developer pick of the week: .NET Conf Focus on Windows

Thursday Feb. 25 there will be a virtual edition of the .NET Conference that focuses specifically on WINDOWS. “Learn why and how to upgrade WPF and Windows Forms apps to .NET 5, see Visual Studio tooling improvements, learn how to leverage cloud services from your client apps, and a whole lot more. You’ll also see what the future of native device development with .NET will look like in .NET 6.” Free and open to all.

Enterprise pick of the week: Automatically translate Word docs into PowerPoints

As someone who tried Sway because of my ineptitude in creating PowerPoints, this new Office Insider feature – which turns Word text and images in a doc into a PowerPoint presentation – has me hopeful and intrigued.

Beer pick of the week: Delirium Black Barrel Aged

Sometimes craft beers can taste like spirits. This Belgian Strong Dark Ale called Delirium Black Barel Aged is one of them. This beer from Hyughe Brewery in Belgium is aged in oak bourbon  barrels. Lots of vanilla, carmel and wood with some strong alcohol tones. Super tasty and dangerous sipper at 11.5%

Microsoft is not on the "wrong side" of scraping internet articles for free, and cutting out the access and income of the hard working journalists making articles online. Just because Microsoft is a tech company doesn't mean they are obligated to blindly get behind the bottom line of other major tech companies.
