Windows 10 Build 18990 Now Available in the Fast Ring

Microsoft Announces the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

If you are participating in the Fast Ring, there is a new Windows 10 build for you to download. The release, 18990, is out now and includes a couple of new features.

In this release, there is a new feature that allows you to enable automatic restarts for UWP apps. In a previous release, Windows 10 had a new feature to register desktop apps from a previous session to restart upon sign-in and now that functionality is being extended to UWP apps.

WSL is being updated as well with improved performance for directory listings, and a few other minor updates as well. And there is also a minor update to GameBar that now includes an FPS counter and achievement overlay.

That’s it for this release, not a lot new but before installing, always worth checking out the known issues log to make sure your device will not be negatively impacted if you install this release. You can find all the details, here.

3rd 20h1 build in a row that I have had installation error 0xc1900101. Only installed after multiple attempts with a bit of "gerrymandering"! Not good for "normals". Still cannot see (so far) anything that warrants "…we need more time…" excuse to test this so far in advance.

Don't get me started about A/B testing of 19h2 either.
