Microsoft Reveals New Games with Gold Titles for February

Xbox Live Gold subscribers will gain access to four new games next month through Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion.

“On Xbox One, race across a legendary mountain course in TT Isle of Man and then dive deep into the depths of Lovecraftian horror in Call of Cthulhu,” Microsoft’s Dean Shimabukuro writes. “On Xbox 360, and Xbox One via Backward Compatibility, enjoy a fresh spin on a beloved franchise in Fable Heroes then play an all-time classic in Star Wars Battlefront.”

Call of Cthulhu wasn't bad – not as good as the last one, but still not bad.

Picking a shooter title, even one with a story and strong theme, with no online play, is a bit off for Xbox Live Gold. Hey, it's free, but for how long can they drag these old games out when they have another subscription service?

I was planning to buy Call of Cthulhu anyway so it is a win even if I am not particularly interested in any of the other titles.
