Microsoft’s Mail App To Bring Back A Highly Requested Feature, Message Pop-Out

Mail

If you have been an avid user of the Mail app in Windows 10, you will know that there is one obvious feature that is missing that the company has built into other apps; the ability to ‘pop-out- a message into its own window. Thankfully, this feature is coming to the Mail app and it should be here soon as I was able to get my hands on an unreleased version of the application.

This feature, surprisingly, is not new to this app. At one point, Microsoft had this feature built-in but then it was removed for unknown reasons; you can currently find a similar feature in the Calendar app today.

I use this app every day and it is my primary email tool which means without this feature, it was quite hard to look at two emails at the same time. Thankfully, with the re-introduction of the pop-out mechanism, it makes this application more user friendly.

At this time, I don’t know when Microsoft will be pushing this version out that has this enhancement but I suspect it should not be too long from now. With the company hosting Build this week (Paul and I will both be there, check out our Build Hub), they may release a new version of Redstone that ships with this version of the Mail app.
