Vivaldi is Now Available on iOS

Vivaldi iOS

Vivaldi is launching an iPhone and iPad version of its web browser today. Vivaldi for iOS aims to offer the same privacy features as the desktop and Android versions with a built-in tracker and ad blocker, an integrated Notes experience, and lots of customization options.

While the UI of Vivaldi for iOS doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, the mobile browser offers a Tab Bar with desktop-style tabs. “This makes our Tab Bar unconventional and gives the same look and feel as Vivaldi on the desktop and Android. This unique feature improves usability significantly,” the company explained.

Vivaldi for iOS also comes with a built-in Notes app that lets users save ideas or copy text from a web page to a note while browsing. These Notes are synced between devices, and Vivaldi can also sync other browsing data including saved passwords, autofill information, and pinned websites on the browser’s Start Page, which Vivaldi calls “Speed Dials.”

The built-in tracker and ad blocker lets users configure default settings or enable or disable blocking on select sites in settings. The shield icon on the left side of the address bar also lets users change ad & tracker blocker settings on the fly.

Vivaldi for iPhone and iPad requires iOS 15 or newer. The app also offers a selection of custom app icons to personalize how the app looks on your home screen.
