Acer unveiled new “AI PCs” yesterday powered by Intel’s new Meteor Lake CPUs, and the company is following up today with refreshed gaming laptops. There are new versions of the Acer Nitro 17 plus the Predator Helios 16 and 18, as well as two new Predator Helios Neo models.
Acer Nitro 17. This new version of Acer’s budget-friendly Nitro gaming laptop comes with up to a 14th gen Intel Core i7 CPU, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, and a 17.3-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display with a fast 165Hz refresh rate. This new Nitro gaming laptop will be available in North America later this month starting at $1,249.99.

Acer Predator Helios 16 and 18. The new gaming laptops offer up to an Intel Core i9 14900HX processor, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, and WQXGA (2560 x 1600) or Mini LED panels with a 250 Hz refresh rate. Other highlights include Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan technology, MagKey 3.0 swappable mechanical keyboard switches Acer’s PurifiedVoice 2.0 AI-noise reduction technology, and and Wi-Fi 7 compatibility. The Predator Helios laptops will be available in North America in March with prices starting at $1,899.99.
Predator Helios Neo 16 and 18. These new gaming laptops are targeting more casual gamers, and the 18-inch model is brand new. They can also be configured with up to an Intel Core i9 14900HX processor, but the best graphics are limited to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPUs. The WQXGA IPS displays also offer 240 Hz refresh rates, Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan technology, and the company’s PurifiedVoice 2.0 tech to remove background noises. The Predator Helios Neo 16 and 18 will be available in North America in March, with prices starting at $1,499.99.
All these new Acer laptops also come with a dedicated Copilot keyboard key to launch Microsoft’s AI assistant on Windows 11 more easily. Of course, the keyboards on Acer’s gaming laptops also come with fancy RGB lights that you can customize using the company’s PredatorSense hub, where you can also adjust performance and fan settings.
