Microsoft released yesterday a new Windows 11 23H2 build for Insiders on the Beta Channel who didn’t opt in to receive 24H2 builds. The latest version of Windows 11 is currently available as an optional upgrade for Beta Channel testers, and all testers who aren’t ready to jump on the 24H2 bandwagon can now install the 23H2 build 22635.5235.
This new build only brings minor improvements for File Explorer and the Settings app. In the first app, Microsoft made some adjustments to improve the visibility of keyboard focus of elements in the Open and Save dialog navigation buttons. Moreover, the app’s borders are now darker.
The 23H2 build 22635.5235 also fixes an issue in the Settings app that could cause it to hang when adjusting “If you’ve been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?” under Accounts > Sign-in Options. These are the only two changes documented in the release notes for this new 23H2 build. Beta testers who opted in to receive 24H2 builds got a new one on Friday with new Copilot+ experiences and more.
Yesterday, Microsoft also dropped the Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.5794 on the Release Preview Channel. This update fixes a graphics issue in the Windows Subsystem for Linux and updates the Windows Kernel Vulnerable Driver Blocklist to improve security.
