One week after its release on desktop, Vivaldi 7.5 is available on Android, iPhone, and iPad, with several small improvements.
“We’re rolling out Vivaldi 7.5 for Android and iOS today,” Vivaldi founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner writes. “A release that reflects what we’ve been focused on all year: making your mobile browser faster, more stable, and more aligned with the way you use the web.”
Here’s what’s new:
Android. Usability improvements in Settings, Tab Stacks and Tab Switcher behavior improvements, Reader View improvements, Sync improvements (including device rename and some fixes), and some UI clean-up.
iPhone. Reliability improvements for Sync signup and encryption and some UI updates to match Vivaldi.net.
iPad. Improved keyboard shortcut support and usability improvements to the New Tab button and other fine-tuned touch targets.
“For the past six months, we’ve worked hard to squash bugs and improve your favorite browser, so you can keep browsing with less friction and more control,” von Tetzchner adds. “Your feedback shapes what we build. And while this release doesn’t come with big headlines, it reflects the kind of browser we believe in, one that quietly works for you, on your terms.”
