Vivaldi 7.5 for Windows, Mac, and Linux delivers improvements to Tab Stacks and tab context menus, plus several smaller refinements.
“Just in time for summer, Vivaldi 7.5 is here,” Vivaldi co-founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner writes. “This release is about sharper control, cleaner interaction, and stronger privacy. It’s also about squashing a swarm of bugs.”
Here’s what’s new:
Tab Stacks improvements. You can now use custom colors with Tab Stacks, so you can more easily spot these groups of related tabs. Tied to this is a new Edit Tab Stack dialog with naming and color choices.
Tab context menu improvements. The context menu you see when you right-click a tab has been cleaned up and reorganized.
Other refinements. Vivaldi also made many other refinements across the address bar, ad blocker, bookmarks, notes, Mail and Calendar, Dashboard and widgets, Quick commands, and Settings. And there’s a new setting for configuring a custom DNS just for the browser.
Bug fixes. As you would expect, Vivaldi 7.5 also fixes a lot of bugs. “You’ll notice smoother behavior all around,” von Tetzchner says.
