Adobe announced a major update to its Firefly AI assistant that dramatically expands its audio creation capabilities.
“Music, voiceover, and sound effects are essential to telling a story that can grab your audience’s attention,” Adobe’s Mike Polner writes. “Sound is usually the last thing you add and the first thing people notice. It’s also where creative flow tends to get disrupted, sending you off to specialized tools and separate services, then back again to stitch it all together.”
With today’s update, Firefly’s Generate Music, Generate Speech, and Generate Sound Effects audio tools are now broadly available. Generate Music is powered by the Firefly Music model, and it can create universally licensed music that’s optimized for a video’s mood and length. Generate Speech is powered by the Firefly Speech model and creates natural, clear voiceovers from a script with voice, pacing, and emotion controls. And Generate Sound Effects is powered by the Firefly Audio model; it creates custom sounds that match the action, timing, and energy in a video.
“This is audio built for real production” Polner notes, “commercially safe and ready for finished work. No separate subscription or time spent hunting for a track you’re allowed to use. Whatever you’re creating, everything you need for studio-quality sound is now right inside Adobe Firefly.”
Adobe also announced that a new free Firefly AI Assistant experience so anyone can create content with daily limits. And it has added Gemini Omni Flash to the list of AI models creators can use with Firefly.
