Google Chrome’s Enhanced Autofill Feature Can Now Pull Information From Gmail

Google Chrome Enhanced Autofill Gmail

Google Chrome’s Enhanced Autofill feature can now fill out forms using information pulled from users’ Gmail inboxes. The feature leverages the Personal Intelligence feature in Google Gemini, which allows Google’s AI chatbot to access data from connected Google Workspace apps.

“Starting today, Chrome’s enhanced autofill feature can automatically suggest information pulled directly from Gmail as you fill out online forms. Powered by Gemini with Personal Intelligence, it can surface details like order numbers, tracking information, and flight bookings, right when you need them,” Google said today.

This Gmail integration in Chrome’s enhanced autofill is rolling out first to US users via the existing Gemini in Chrome integration. Again, it requires users to have Personal Intelligence enabled in their Gemini settings, and Google emphasized that sensitive data pulled by enhanced autofill is encrypted.

In addition to email information, Google said today that Chrome’s enhanced autofill will soon be able to pull information from images stored in Google Photos. Again, Chrome users will remain in control of what type of data enhanced autofill can access.
