Amazon Teases Hardware Event on September 20

Amazon Hardware event September 2022

Amazon is planning to reveal new products on September 20. David Limp, SVP of Devices and Services at Amazon teased that Amazon plans to hold an in-person event on that date at the company’s new headquarters in Arlington County, Virginia (via AFTVnews).

“The Devices & Services team has already had a very busy year, and now that Amazon’s HQ2 is officially open, it only feels right to gather there in a few months to share a bit more of what we’ve been working on. Mark your calendar for 9/20 for some news from us,” Limp shared on LinkedIn yesterday.

Late September is usually when Amazon holds its big hardware event. The company’s last Devices and Services event on September 28, 2022, gave us the Kindle Scribe, the 5th gen Echo Dot and Echo Dot with clock, the Alexa Voice Remote Pro, the 3rd gen Fire TV Cube, and the Fire TV Omni QLED Series.

We’re likely going to see new Echo and Fire TV devices being announced on September 20, alongside other new products. In the meantime, Amazon plans to offer up to 75% discounts on its current hardware during Prime Day on July 11-12.
