Apple is finally revealing the important details about its game subscription service today. The company first introduced Apple Arcade earlier this year, though it didn’t share a lot of the details like the pricing and availability.
Today, Apple announced Apple Arcade will be launching on September 19. Apple Arcade will have a dedicated tab on the App Store, where users will be able to subscribe to the new service for $4.99 a month. Apple Arcade works across almost all Apple devices, so you will be able to play the games part of Apple Arcade on your iPhone, your Mac, your iPad, and even your Apple TV.
Apple says Apple Arcade comes with over 100 “groundbreaking” new games. Apple says no other game service has launched with as many games at once. The games do not include any in-app purchases or ads, and you can even play them offline. Apple Arcade supports Family Sharing, so you can share your subscription with 5 others in your family.
