Apple’s WWDC22 Developer Conference Will Be Online on June 6-10

Apple will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 6-10, and the company has once again opted for an online format. Apple will also be inviting select developers and students to watch the keynote and State of the Union videos together at Apple’s headquarters on June 6.

As usual, the is expected to kick off its annual developer conference by announcing the next versions of iOS and macOS. “Building on the success of the past two years of virtual events, WWDC22 will showcase the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS, while giving developers access to Apple engineers and technologies to learn how to create groundbreaking apps and interactive experiences,” the company said today.

If Apple’s WWDC is a developer event first and foremost, some new hardware announcements could also be on the cards. After Apple launched its new Mac Studio and Studio Display last month, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously reported that new Apple Silicon Macs could follow later this Spring.

Apple’s annual developer conference will be preceded by Google I/O 2022 on May 11-12, which will be followed by Microsoft’s Build 2022 conference on May 24-26. These two events will also be virtual and open to all due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
