Apple’s new iPhone 4 Pro introduced a noticeable camera upgrade, though some users are apparently encountering issues when using the camera in some third-party apps. Over the past couple of days, many iPhone 14 Pro users have been posting complaints about the camera shaking or making weird noises when using it in apps like Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram (via 9to5Mac).
“I’ve been experiencing my camera shaking uncontrollably whenever I open Snapchat or use the camera for Instagram. However, I don’t run into any issues when I use the regular camera app,” a Reddit user explained in a thread that received several replies from users facing similar issues.
The problem is more visible in this video from content creator Luke Miani. In it, we clearly see the camera shaking in a third-party app, while the camera module on the rear of the device makes a strange rattling noise.

Since the issue only seems to appear when the iPhone 14 Pro camera is being used in third-party apps, a software bug seems more likely than a hardware defect. If Apple has yet to comment on the issue, it seems that the regular iPhone 14 isn’t currently affected by these camera problems in third-party apps.
