Apple May Be Working on Apple TV App for Android

Apple could be working on an Android version of its Apple TV app. If there’s already an Apple TV app for Android TV/Google TV devices, Apple has yet to release a similar app for Android phones and tablets.

The Twitter account ShrimpApplePro, which previously leaked the design of the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro believes that Apple is currently testing the Android version of its Apple TV app internally. The leaker also shared that the Apple Music app for Android will also receive an update without giving more details.

The Apple TV app provides access to a large selection of movies and TV shows on demand, as well as the Apple TV+ subscription service. Apple TV+ doesn’t have as much content as competing streaming services, but Apple has started to complete its catalog of original films and TV shows with licensed content from other studios.

If an Apple TV app is possibly coming soon on Android devices, Microsoft also announced back in October that Apple TV and Apple Music apps are coming to the Microsoft Store on Windows PCs in 2023. In the meantime, the Apple TV app is also available on the web at tv.apple.com.
