Apple released today iOS 16.5, iPadOS 16.5, tvOS 16.5, macOS Ventura 13.4, and watchOS 9.5. These updates are released a little less than a month ahead of Apple’s WWDC developer conference, where the company is expected to unveil major updates for all these platforms.

The main changes in iOS 16.5 and iPad 16.5 include a new Sports tab in the Apple news app, as well as My Sports score and schedule cards providing quick access to game pages. iOS 16.5 also includes a new Price Celebration wallpaper for the lock screen.

For Mac users, macOS 13.4 also brings a Sports feed in the sidebar of the Apple News app plus the aforementioned My Sports score and schedule cards. Apple also fixed a Bluetooth issue causing keyboards to connect slowly after a restart, as well as another issue preventing users to use Auto Unlock with an Apple Watch.

If you own an Apple Watch, the new watchOS 9.5 only includes bug fixes and a new Pride Celebration watch face. Lastly, tvOS 16.5 introduces a new Multiview feature on Apple TV 4K models. It will let users watch up to four streams of MLS Season Pass or MLB Friday Night Baseball matches at the same time in the Apple TV app.

Earlier this week, Apple detailed new accessibility features coming to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS later this year. Assistive Access will simplify how Apple’s core iOS and iPadOS apps work, while Personal Voice will let iPhone and iPad users recreate a voice that sounds just like them in just 15 minutes. We should hear more about these upcoming features at WWDC next month.
