Apple announced today AppleCare One, a new protection plan priced at $19.99/month to cover up to three Apple products. Subscribers can also add additional devices to the plan for $5.99/month for each device.
“At Apple, we’re focused on creating and delivering exceptional experiences,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “Built on the trusted foundation of AppleCare+, AppleCare One extends that same reliability and makes it easier than ever to protect the products you love and depend on like iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, combining simplicity and exceptional value.”
Previously, customers only had the option to protect their Apple devices with separate AppleCare+ subscriptions priced at $9.99/month or $99.99/year. AppleCare One includes all AppleCare+ benefits, plus theft and loss coverage for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
AppleCare One supports already owned products that are up to four years old and in good condition. Customers can also remove and add products at any time, and trading in a covered product will automatically replace it with the new one in the plan.
Overall, AppleCare One seems to be a good value for people who own multiple Apple products and want to protect them with a simple plan. The new protection plan will be available in the US starting tomorrow, and customers will be able to sign up directly from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
