Microsoft Edge Version 103 is Now Available

Microsoft has started rolling out Microsoft Edge 103 on Windows, macOS, and Linux. This release brings the new gaming features we detailed yesterday, including a Gaming hub with casual games and a Clarity Boost feature for Xbox Cloud Gaming.

There are also some notable non-gaming additions in Microsoft Edge 103. Microsoft says that it has rewritten its Microsoft Defender SmartScreen library for Microsoft Edge on Windows, and the new version should provide better protection while browsing the web.

In this release, Microsoft also added a new policy to turn the new Work Search banner on and off in Edge’s address bar. By selecting the banner, enterprise users can choose to only see work-focused content from Microsoft Search in Edge’s search results.

Lastly, Microsoft added a new policy to control automatic profile switching. When enabled, the policy will let Edge prompt users to switch to the appropriate profile when the browser detects that a link is either personal or work-related.

Microsoft Edge version 103 follows the release of Google Chrome version 103 earlier this week, which introduced a new prerendering technology to improve page load times. This new Edge update will roll out automatically to all users, but you can force the update by opening edge://settings/help.
