WhatsApp Starts Rolling Out Multi-Account Support on iOS

WhatsApp multi-account support iOS

WhatsApp is finally adding support for two accounts on iOS, a top-requested feature that’s been available on Android for more than two years. This will allow iPhone users to use two separate WhatsApp accounts for work and personal contacts without the need to use the separate WhatsApp for Business app.

Multi-account support will be rolling out gradually to all WhatsApp users, along with a couple of other new features. The app’s chat transfer tool now supports moving all conversations from iOS to Android, including photos and videos. WhatsApp will also make it easier to free up space by deleting large files in specific conversations or all media files.

WhatsApp’s Writing Help feature is also gaining the ability to draft a response based on the content of a conversation. The WhatsApp team emphasized that using Writing Help still keeps conversations “completely private.”

The app’s built-in Meta AI assistant is also getting photo editing capabilities, including removing people in the background and applying styles to images. Meta AI features aren’t available in all markets yet, however.

Lastly, if you like WhatsApp stickers, the app will now suggest relevant stickers when you type emoji in a message. Again, all these new features will become available for all WhatsApp users soon.
