Arc Search is Now Available on Android

Arc Search for Android

The Browser Company announced that Arc Search 1.0 is available for everyone on Android after six weeks in an open beta.

“After an incredible Open Beta where over 100,000 Android users took it for a spin, Arc Search is officially open to everyone in the Google Play Store,” the company announced via email. “Whether you’ve been following along or are just now tuning in, we’re here, Android — and we built this just for you.”

Arc Search isn’t a web browser. Instead, it’s a new way to get answers immediately online. Major features include:

Browse for me. Arc Search browses the web for you, giving you the answer you’re looking for, in your native language, instead of a list of links.

Ad blocking. Arc Search blocks unwanted ads, trackers, and popups automatically.

Decluttered tabs. Tabs auto-archive so the app remains uncluttered.

For the 1.0 release, The Browser Company added full support for Android 12, Voice Search, Landscape Mode, and a cleaner Incognito mode, plus Android-specific designs like Adaptable Widgets and Custom Icons. It says it “wanted to make sure Arc Search on Android feels at home on Android — not just a port from iOS.”

You can download Arc Search for Android from the Google Play Store.
