Vivaldi has released new versions of its mobile web browser for Android, iPhone, and iPad, each with a few common and unique new features.

“Vivaldi 7.4 for Android is a powerful refinement of your everyday browser experience,” Vivaldi founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner writes. “With every detail designed to give you more clarity, more control, and more comfort, this release brings the kind of meaningful improvements that turn ‘just browsing’ into something brilliant.”

Key new features and changes in this release include a floating tabs design, a Reader View toolbar shortcut for easier access, the ability to toggle search history and (separately) typed history suggestions in the address bar, a choice of grid and list views in the tab switcher. You can download Vivaldi for Android from the Google Play Store.

“Vivaldi 7.4 for iOS is a big step forward in mobile browsing,” von Tetzchner writes of the iPhone and iPad version. “With advanced tab management, and features that give you more power in fewer taps, this update brings clarity, control, and a whole lot of convenience. This update makes browsing on your iPhone or iPad feel a whole lot better, It’s everything you’d expect from Vivaldi.”

Key new features for iPhone and iPad include tab pinning and stacking in the tab bar, background audio support, search history and typed history suggestion toggles as above, and a “don’t open links in external apps” toggle, a floating tabs design as above. You can download Vivaldi for iPhone and iPad from the Apple App Store.
