Entra ID branding. Months ago, Microsoft said that it would allow businesses to brand Microsoft Edge with their corporate assets, and that feature is now available, and will help users more quickly differentiate between multiple profiles and browser windows. You can learn more on the Microsoft Learn website.

App update alerts move into Browser Essentials. Microsoft is moving app update alerts from Edge settings into Browser essentials, a dashboard that can be accessed by default in the Edge toolbar or the “Settings and more” (“…”) menu. This will make updates more visible to users more quickly, Microsoft notes, but it’s a controlled feature rollout (CFR), so you may not get it right away.

Improved audio/video support. Microsoft Edge now natively supports the AVIF and AV1 media file formats, which offer better compression and higher quality images and videos.

Security updates. As always, the new Edge version comes with several security updates, most notably a fix for a Chromium vulnerability that is actively being exploited.
