Firefox 139 Arrives with Custom Wallpaper, More

With Mozilla continuing to refocus its business, there’s a new version of Firefox available with a few new features.

Firefox 139 for desktop adds the following new features and changes:

• Full-page translations in Firefox extension pages that start with the moz-extension:// URL scheme
• Custom wallpaper in the New Tab page, which can be any image or a custom color
• Link previews as an experimental new feature via Firefox Labs: Use the Alt + Shift keyboard shortcut when hovering over a link
• Various fixes related to PNG images, HTTP/3 upload performance, and security

Mozilla also notes that the Firefox migration wizard can no longer import payment methods and passwords from Chrome because of a change Google made. And that, as noted in a previous announcement about Pocket and Fakespot being shuttered, the Firefox Review Checker feature is shutting down on June 10.
