Google I/O 2025 to Overlap with Microsoft Build 2025

Google today announced that its Google I/O 2025 developer conference will be held live in Mountain View, California and online from May 20 to 21, 2025.

Now, why do those dates seem familiar?

Ah, right. It’s because Microsoft will hold its Build 2025 developer conference live in Seattle, Washington and online from May 19 to 22, 2025. So the two shows will overlap, which could causes some scheduling headaches for developers or press who usually attend both.

“The countdown to Google I/O begins now!” Google announced via its Keyword blog. “Join us live on May 20 and 21 from Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View and online at io.google. At I/O, you’ll learn more about Google’s newest products, technologies and innovations in AI. We’ll start day one with keynotes, followed by breakout sessions, workshops, demos, networking opportunities and more continuing on day two.”

You can learn more on the Google I/O website. But not too much more. As with Build 2025, we still don’t have a session list to check out yet.
