Is this the one that was "disguised" as another update?

Yeah. That so was not intended to be a real release.

Sounds exactly like another day of using Windows phone to me.

and the answer is:

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO

runs like a charm

I use 10.0.15007.1000 on a Lumia 950XL dual SIM

Except for problems sending SMS (but has same issue with previous build) i would have to say NO to all that you mention.

Works great.

Yes, of course. But I’ve been on this beta program since the beginning, and this is the first time an update kicked me in the teeth so thoroughly. Something got missed. Evidently it hits some and not others… always fun.

YES. My phone reboots every 15 minutes, even when no apps are running. It hangs, had some security warning that wouldn’t let me log in to the phone, craziness. I have a 950XL as well.

Same problem. I just shut it down. Reboots every 15-30 minutes with a message about the SD card needing to be scanned. Fortunately not my daily driver.

Have you reset your phone since installing 15007?

Before I reset my 950XL I thought everything was working fine. After the reset things are now even better.

Exactly. It works a treat here even when there is seemingly very little wrong.

This is the first time a phone update has actually had a negative impact on me; my 950xl is now rebooting every thirty minutes or so – and went through a full charge in about 3.5 hours. Here’s hoping a fix shows up very, very soon. Phone rebooted in the middle of a conference call today – Aieeeeee!

No problems on 930, 950XL or HP x3. I did have major problems with the 15007 for PC update on a Surface Studio, so I rolled it back to 15002. That was kind of annoying, because PC 15007 works fine (save for some installation problems) on a Surface Book, an original Surface Pro, an older Dell XPS15 and, of all things, a Stream 8 tablet.

As an update: I did a full Settings-System-About-Reset on my 950xl – which reinstalled 15007 on the first go BTW, and all is well. I noted that a few apps didn’t reload – evidently from incompatibility: an older Facebook, a weather app, and a very old obscure ham radio app. The phone is working great again.

It was surprisingly painless because it offered to restore all my stuff which had evidently been saved when the update was made. Settings had to be redone, but no real biggie, that.

Did same reset on my wife’s 950 with the same result. And there were a couple of incompatible apps there as well.

Wondering if incompatible apps are why some folks had problems with the update and others didn’t?

most likely that is the case, I have experience this in the past when updates either did not work right, or did not even install. Remove one app at a time until you manage to update so you can identify the culprit.

Nowadays I hardly have any apps on my phone, because I really only use 3 – 4 anyway, so updates have been running almost perfect past year. Of course there have been minor things, it is Insider builds after all, but things have been running surprisingly smooth for using fast ring otherwise

Hard reset – still rebooted/froze/ganked. Removed the Facebook app – not a problem since.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. . I keep looking down at my 640 that I use for the insiders builds and seeing the Windows logo as it again reboots. Don’t use it for texts so can’t say. Tweetium opens (sometimes) and then crashes. ETC
