Alternatives to Google Photos that also do search based on automatic image recognition

I’m a Windows PC and Android phone/tablet user. I currently use Google Photos for my photo library. The main thing I like about it is the quality of the search. I’m only take photos casually (not a serious or hobbyist photographer) so I don’t want to spend much time manually naming or tagging photos. I really like being able to search for a photo by its content (e.g. waterfalls) without having had to manually tag the photos.

On the other hand, one thing I dislike is there is no desktop photo sync for Google Photos. I’m more desktop-centric than mobile-centric so ideally I’d like a photo library which is synced to desktop. I’ve tried Windows 11 Photos app coupled with OneDrive but it doesn’t seem to support search based on image recognition (or at least not nearly as well as Google Photos).

Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution which does search based on image recognition, and allows syncing the library to Windows desktop? I don’t use iOS devices so it can’t be iCloud Photos.
