apps within the os

When trying to access my t-mobile account from within the mobile plans app it fails. Surface sees that I’ve have tmobile sim and provides a link but is never able to connect to the website, from either data sim, wifi, or wired internet connection. Is this another half baked idea in the operating system that might work in the future?
