Is it reasonable to want to pay less than for VPN?

I have no idea what to do most of the time with Windows and most tech-related stuff.

VPN is the one service I don’t have. I have been thinking about getting it.

The strange thing about comparing prices and shopping around on Google for VPN services is none offers a one-month trial. They all seem to be $10 or lower (not much lower) per month at 1-year plan.

Spending over $100 for their 1-year plan to get lower than $10 months without a trial is too risky. They say a money-back guarantee. I have been there before, maybe because my Canadian bank is super slow at online refunds. 🤷‍♀️ It can take up to 5 weeks to get my money back. $100 instantly gone with up to five weeks to receive my money back dissatisfied.

That said. I don’t trust online reviews. The Google landscape for VPN shopping is atrocious. It appears to be ‘infested’ / saturated with fake ad reviews.

Do you guys have any recommendations?
