This is the dumbest thing I’ve seen on Windows yet, possibly?

I hope I am the one being dumb,

I get 20-30 notifications a day in Windows on my laptop. That toast thing bottom right flies out so much with the most obnoxious noise (they call it sound) ever!

So I went into settings in notifications and turned off the checkmark “play sound”

Well, that was awesome, I can see my notifications arrive, or if I am away from my laptop they collect into the notification panel.

However, I set a time on my laptop this morning for boiled eggs… I never heard it! Why, because the Clock app is tied to notifications and sound is off.

To me that is dumb,

What if I need an alarm, a timer, and as set, they only notify visually, I mean who uses alarms/timers in this way,

Guys, how to I make the clock app, break through my settings “sound off”
