What does Microsoft know that we don’t?

What does Microsoft know that we don’t? From the eyes of a mainstream user.

I had to contact Microsoft support via chat this morning as my Phone Link app will not launch (still doesn’t) and the first thing the online technician did was go here (see pic) and disable the entire lot.

I rebooted my computer, and everything is working great. What was all that stuff? Why was it loading and eating my laptop resources up?
